2 factors that could affect David Alaba leave Bayern

Football is a sport where loyalty is immense especially in the 80s, as players playing for one club in their entire career, these faithful players are fans favorite in most cases, these players mostly become their club legends while some clubs will go as far as erecting their status or naming stands after them when they hang up their boots.

Ryan Giggs, Steven Gerrard, Paolo Maldini and recently retired Phillip Lahm are example of loyalty players.

The signing of Alphonso Davies might be a clear indication that David Alaba may be edging closer to his final stay at the German capital.

We take a look at 4 factors that could affect Alaba’s decision to leave Bayern Munich in the near future.

DEVELOPMENT

David Alaba is one of the best defenders in the world, naturally a left back, he can also play as a central midfielder, though he has been doing well when exploited in his new position as a central defender just to accommodate 19 year old Alphonso Davies who arrived from the MLS last season.

Davies can also play as as wide midfielfer, a left winger and has been used in the opposite flank this season.

Judging by the statistics, Davies has made twenty-six league appearances for Bayern so far this season with 22 appearances as a left back while Alaba registered twenty-five appearances with just four of those being deployed to his natural position.

Although both players are enjoying a run of good games in the first team, the stats shows that Alphonso Davies is being given more freedom to develop into a world-class player, there might be a time when Alaba’s services will be reduced as the youngstar makes good progress for the team,

MARKET VALUE

According to Transfermarkt David Alaba is the 2nd most valuable player in his position with a fee of €52m, below Liverpool’s Adrew Robertson who costs €64m, This shows that he could still play for one of the top leagues in the world.
Arsene Wenger has been a long time admirer of the 27 yrs old while he was in charge at the Emirates but he was not interested to make the switch to the Premier League back then, the Austrian international might give it a thought this time around if there’s good offer table for him from top European clubs. his current contract expires in 2025 in which he will be 32 by then, one can understand that he might still be at his peak, the Austrian international should seek for a new challenge probably in one of the top leagues in the world.
